• Available in English (3/8" -1-1/4") and Metric (10mm - 32mm) sizes.
• Tapered shanks are available for higher rigidity and minimal deflection.
• Standard Weldon Shanks or solid shanks for better balance at high RPMs.
• Offered in various lengths to accommodate most applications.

Ballnose Roughing Tool Bodies

• Two flutes to center to maximize strength in plunging and roughing.
• Identical inserts centered at the nose provide a true full radius, which helps maximize stock removal.
• Precision Edge Prep to extend edge life.

Applications:

• From heavy roughing to medium finishing cuts, full radius inserts allow for smooth action in all rise & fall and Z applications.
• Ramping & plunging cuts are made more efficient with two cutting edges to center. This results in better finishes and less stress on the machining center.
• 2" Cutter bodies have nose inserts positioned on a positive axial rake. All other sizes are on a negative axial rake.

Ballnose Solid Carbide Shank Finishers

• Sterling Edge's solid carbide shank Ballnose cutter bodies offer the ultimate in cutter stability.
• Designed for those special applications where finish is of utmost importance and chatter and cutter deflection must be eliminated.
• Available in Metric shanks for clearance in deep straight wall pockets and vertical wall profiling.
• Ideal for collet holders and shrink fit holder systems.
• Specials available upon request. Special clearance lengths (EL) available upon request.

Metric Ballnose Roughing Tool Bodies

• Sterling Edge metric roughers offer all the same standard features and applications as our U.S. standard versions.
